[JIF2018] “Seller OK, Buyer OK, Interpreter OK” (The Three OKs) of Business Management and Issues for the Future

Yasuhiko Nakajima

Director of the Interpretation Business Division and Director of the Human Resource Service Business Division of Brainwoods Co., Ltd.

Born in Tokyo. While studying at Dokkyo University, experienced service for foreign tourists on the Hatobus as part-time work. After graduating, did legal work for Toshiba Engineering Co., Ltd. and was engaged in engineer support work as a person responsible for PR work. Later joined Brainwoods Co., Ltd. and reached present position after working as an interpretation coordinator.

Jihee Park

Brainwoods Co., Ltd. Kyoto Branch Director and Interpretation Business Division Manager

Born in Seoul, South Korea. Lived in Tokyo from the age of three to the third grade due to father’s work. Returned to South Korea, and after graduating university entered the Rikkyo University Graduate School of Intercultural Communication. Joined Brainwoods after completing the course of study at Rikkyo University. Reached present position after working as an interpretation coordinator.

“Seller OK, Buyer OK, Interpreter OK” (The Three OKs) of Business Management and Issues for the Future

Brainwoods marks 18 years since its founding this year. Supported by our partner interpreters since the founding, Brainwoods has grown at a rate of 120-130% year-on-year in recent years. One of the concepts that we coordinators have held as important thus far is the maxim “Seller OK, Buyer OK, Partner (Interpreter) OK.” While introducing the problems and possible future issues we are currently struggling with in our efforts to continue to protect this concept of the “Three OKs,” we hope that this will be a forum where we can, along with all of you, think about and discuss these topics. We would also like to introduce to you what we think is the ideal image of the partner.
