After Graduating from Meiji Gakuin University (BA in English literature), Hirasawa worked as an in-house translator/interpreter for a securities firm before becoming a securities broker himself. He then spent the next 15 years working for various securities firms in Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, before making another career change 10 years ago: IR interpreter. He is one of the few interpreters that work exclusively in the field of investor relations and have the expert knowledge as a former industry-insider.
